Help your child even more?

If you are a mom of a kid with ADHD, we probably share the same 'superpower'.

You know, the superpower that keeps you from completely relaxing or even worse…sleeping.

And that superpower is…

Worrying

Worrying and imagining every worst case scenario for your child’s future. After all…how will they ever be successful in a career…if they can’t be successful in school (at least that’s what you tell yourself).

Maybe you are like me…or some of my clients.

Kristi was worried that her 11-year-old son would be limited to minimum wage jobs in his future.

Marilyn worried her daughter's ADHD would make her vulnerable to being in an abusive relationship because she had no self-esteem.

Raquel worried her son could not be successful without her constant ‘help’ and vigilance.

And I was once the same…I worried a lot…because I have read the same research and headlines as you…

Kkids with learning difficulties are more likely to use alcohol, drugs and participate in risky or delinquent behaviors.

And you probably have worries too…

But NOW…I’m here to help you visualize and focus on a different future for your child…a future of prosperity, happiness and success.

Because…I have awesome news for you.

By the very fact that you are reading this email… shows that your child already has a mom who is committed and ambitious…

A mom who is willing to explore all the options and learn new things to ensure their child grows up to be happy and successful. (Yes, I’m talking about you!)

So next time you find yourself worrying…I might suggest you do this…

Remind yourself of two facts proven by science about the brain.

#1 Neuroplasticity - the brain is plastic and has an incredible ability to change, to grow new neurons and create new pathways (especially when you are young!). And we can leverage this to help our kids build all kinds of new and helpful skills.

#2 Your child’s brain is still developing! (maybe not at the pace you desire) but with your support, guidance, and connection…your child IS capable of growing up to be happy and successful in spite of their ADHD.

Because happiness is a skill that can be taught…regardless of grades, degrees, or academic achievement. You too can coach your child (and your entire family) to success and happiness.

And the single best way to support your child is by creating a strong foundation upon which to build skills? A foundation built on CONNECTION and emotional safety.

Connection… that they feel deeply loved by you…(even in their worst moments)

Emotional safety…that they feel supported to make mistakes…to be different…to fall apart or even meltdown…because they’re brain is still developing and learning…

So if you are still struggling and worrying for your child’s FUTURE…I’m here to tell you your brain is lying to you. Because all you have is TODAY.

So what can you do TODAY (right now) that will help you help your child even more?

Go connect (right now) in a way that feels amazing for both of you. Maybe it’s something you do all the time or maybe today you try something new. You get to decide.

So tell me, how do YOU keep focused on the present moment (on today)?

Go ahead and hit 'REPLY' because I would love to know what helps you.

Persist!

Angel
